I went to the dealership today. The service writer open a ticket after I explained to him how the car was was playing all of the songs on an album in alphabetical order not the artists intended order (he seemed to get it).

My hope is that he will contact GM technical support.

Thanks for your mileage report, it’s great to see what others are getting. Here is my mileage table.

This was calculated at the pump, not on the DIC. My total average is 24.91. Not bad for a good sized SUV. Most of my commutes are city with a short 2 mile hop on the interstate. I average about 30 miles/day roundtrip. This is with ECO on 99% of the time, really the only time it is off is to see what it’s like without it. Also I drive with a very light foot. I’ve still not had the first oil change, so I would still consider this a break in period.

Do you have a link to the site? I'm very interested.

Edit: I found where you posted it in another thread

Let us know if it works and how difficult an install it is. That would be awesome to get the look for under 100....even if they couldn't be wired.

That appears to be the plastic piece. Are you sure you're getting the actual light and not the same fillers you have now?

Hate to rain on your parade but I agree with kilcher I don't think you are getting the fog light... Also I wish you all the best in receivng your Equinox in a couple of weeks,, it has been 7 weeks on mine and still no production date set yet... Again not trying to be smart I just wish I could be as optomist as you are... Good Luck....

My dealer said they CAN be installed, dealer cost is $700, they have to do something with the control arm near the steering wheel to add the wiring and feature.. i dont think its as simple as adding them and flipping a switch, though maybe it should be.

Only had it for one day but I was told by the dealer that you can't add the fog lights. This is really agravating. Fog lights are like a safety option and I would think they should be easily added. I know I should have waited until I could get a 2LT or an LTZ.

I know I can add aftermarket fog lamps but it really ticks me off that I can't add the factory setup.

Curious.. how is your mpg.. does it compare with the sticker (i forget what that combo is.. 17/24?)..

City.. is it alot of hills/stoppin and going.. flat runs on the highway?

your right, I did more digging, and the the part shown is for the replacement black part that houses the fog light and has the chrome bezel. The actual lamp itself fits inside this piece, and is common to the models listed below, and runs any where from $50 aftermarket to $90 OEM each.

06-09 CHEVY IMPALA
06-09 CHEVY MALIBU
06-09 CHEVY MALIBU MAXX
06-09 CHEVY MONTE CARLO
03-07 SATURN ION ( 2DR, REDLINE MODEL ONLY )
06-07 SATURN VUE
06-09 BUICK LUCERNE
06-07 PONTIAC TORRENT
07-07 SATURN VUE (HYBRID TYPE ONLY)
08-09 BUICK ENCLAVE
08-09 BUICK ALLURE
10-10 CHEVY EQUINOX

As far as wiring them, I was a gm mechanic for 8 years, and also have a degree in electronic technology, not to be offensive, just stating that I an very qualified in doing something like this, I will order the lights, and am still debating on how to hook them up, I want to see how good the factory headlights are, if they are as poor as on my acadia, I might change the dim lights to zenon, and have the fog lights be the daytime running lamps. I ordered 6 weeks ago, called two weeks ago, got a confirmed build week of Oct. 26th, just called back today, the one ordered rate before mine was delivered today, they told me should be here next week. The dealer I bought through had allocations avallible, which take priority. When I get the light, the car, I will post pics of the whole process of installing.

Re: 2010 Equinox Owners: Post Feedback!!

I just bought LTZ v6 last week, and have question regarding onstar turn by turn navigation time period. I was hoping that I will get one year full package of onstar but after talking to onstar support, I have been told that I have only one month of turn by turn free trial and one year of safe and sound...

Is my dealer has not paid for one year onstar or equinox 2010 LTZ comes with only one month of trun by turn navigation plan ??!!
any information will be appreciated.
Thanks

That is the standard, one month of turn by turn, and one year of safe and sound. And your 30 free minutes of OnStar calling expires after either 60 or 90 days I believe. XM free trial lasts for 90 days as well.

Re: 2010 Equinox Owners: Post Feedback!!

I'm hoping to have some initial reliability stats in February. 14 owners signed up so far. A good start, but more are needed.

Details here:

Re: 2010 Equinox Owners: Post Feedback!!

10 to 14 reasons not to rush and buy a new model.

I picked up my new 10 equinox (LTZ 4 Cyl engine) three weeks ago.

I really like this vehicle.

The other day when I went out to get in it I discovered the rear window was totally smashed. (Just sitting in my driveway).

A replacement glass needs to be ordered from Detroit and will take 10 to 14 days.

Hmm I get good mileage this way.

Leo...

Any feedback on the 2010 AWD Nox?

I have not seen feedback yet (unless I missed it) on the 4 cyl AWD.

I'm looking to purchase the 2010 AWD Equinox 2LT 4 cyl, and of course, it looks like it will have to be ordered. Of course I'm sure it will not get the 32mpg, but I belive the rate it at 20-29 and wanted to see what it actually gets in real-life driving. My current SUV is supposed to get 17-20, but after 7 years of driving it, I average at 16 (low of 14, rarely ever seen 19 on a good day).

Does anyone have a 2010 AWD Equinox 2LT 4 cyl they can provide feedback on? Fuel economy (MPG) findings, overall driving/handeling/interior feedback? Pictures?

Any feedback would be appreciated..
