2007 Aveo in orange, black, and silver. (Semi HD)

I wanted to get an Idea of what is would look like in colors other than orange... so I made black and silver versions of the original orange picture.

Pretty sharp for an economy car. Does anyone know if the pricing will still be the same? That would put it at a huge advantage as far as value. Especially if the LS price was the same. The 07 LS comes with just about everything you could ever want in a economy car.

*Im assuming this is the LT version pictured, so most aveos will have wheels 1 in. smaller than these.

The like the black the best. I think I could actually drive this car and only be a little bit embaressed.

I can never do color changes that well...and I've got Photoshop.

You know you could just go to Chevrolet.com and look at all the colors for the new Aveo. just click on "Upcoming Vehicles" on the left navigation panel. There's a nice-size pic and you can view all the available colors. Regardless, your Photoshop turned out very good.

^Yah I know, but it gives you an angle you will never see this car at. And its not big enough for me.

So, are you saying you're not using Photoshop?

Did you use any special settings, opacitys, filters...I want to get better at color changes; I'd appreciate any advice you could give.

What I did was I made a duplicate of the original, and desaturated it. Make sure this layer is above the original. Then I selected off areas where the reflection was showing and painted over it. For some reason reflections look terrible when you change the color. (This step is kind of long, and not really needed. I just think it makes it look nicer)

Then I used the select tool and went all around the car.... then I cut out the background to show the original picture behind it. Then I erased the logo on the front and wheels so the colored ones behind it could show.

At this point the car is all silver. All I did was use the burn tool to make it black. Make sure you make copys of the silver version before you edit it though. Silver is the most easy color to change. Once you have that you can just go to Image > Adjustments > Color balance, and move the sliders to get the color you want. After that, in the histroy bar, check off whatever is right before the color balance... then go to the history tool, and remove anything you dont want the new color showing. (I.e windows, wheels, headlights, grill).

This is what it looked like when I started to do that... but I didnt finish (or take my time, so it's very sloppy). Also when doing things with the brush, make sure you use a small one, and zoom in close so you can be precise.

New (retread) Ride 2008 Saturn XE 3.5, hard to be worse then the Malibu, but I think that they have done it!

You know what would be nice? If Chevrolet actually came out with the **************** car already!
