Re: Production Volt spotted

I hope that's the real deal. I was afraid we would end up with a rebadged Malibu. That looks great from what I can tell.

Normally I'd be just as cynical, drew630. But compare this to the concept model, and it's clear how this one evolved from the show car. If you've heard Lutz explain what got changed, and why, from the concept, the production model is almost exactly what he described.

I actually think the production version, overall, is more attractive. Not as tough and flashy, but probably better look at on a daily basis!

WOW! This could very well be the car that saves General Motors.

Let me introduce you to a man named Bob Lutz...

(You have a lot of catching-up to do. Where do we begin? Well there are these things called "platforms" right?....So the Malibu is on Epsilon and the Volt is on Delta...)

Re: Production Volt spotted

Look at the shot of the back end in the spy photo and then the GM - sourced "teaser" of the back end. The "VOLT" badge seems 2 times larger in the spy shot.

The profile shot sure looks good.

I'm very excited about this.

If your turn up the brightness and contrast you can see more detail like the full frame doors...

The Vette in the new movie is actually supposed to be a one off called the Corvette Centennial Design concept which was made as part of GM's ongoing 100 year celebration. Still Knowing GM, don't be surprised if they decide to use elements from this concept in a future Vette

Wow, I agree with most of you... this looks fantastic! Very promising... expensive or not, this car is going to make an impact.

Go GM! This car will do more for GM's image than a million "green" ads on TV.

Looks very good but this photo seems a bit stretched to me. From the top Volt looks more oval and bubbly but still better than Prius (even newer concept pics).

But to me C7 beast stole the show…

Re: Production Volt spotted

I like what I see so far but I thought the Volt would have much less overhang like many other alternative fueled car and car concepts. I can't wait to see more.

Re: Production Volt spotted

I've been worried about what it will look like. WOW, that car looks great! I wish it was a 5 seater but I'll still be tempted to buy one. I'll just have to stick one kid in the trunk if I do.
