If only that were true A123. GM is closing several truck plants down PERMANENTLY. They aren't going to build cars or anything else in them while Toyota is reconfiguring production to changed market conditions.

I'm not sure what you're smoking but if you really believe Toyota is being hit harder by this downturn then I would suggest keep smokin' it.

You are correct - it's a bigger, faster and better looking program and was announced much sooner.

Also, although it appears Toyota has finally and correctly ascertained that they are going to be hit harder in terms of their capacity/ sales ratio -....well, I'm sure they'll catch all that up eventually as well - just takes longer with Toyota.

Total direct final assembly labor costs are an average of just under ? 6% per vehicle msrp sticker.

Hey AkSean, what did you think of that 20,000 unit loss that Camry and Corolla/Matrix posted from May 2008 to June 2008 ?

I'm glad to see you survived and picked yourself off the floor - both times.

I thought it was especially cruel that Toyota's total numbers knocked you down yet a third time and I thought we mighta' lost you on account of Lexus'es numbers - do you plan on being out of the country when Toyota Motor Europe releases their June and YTD stuff ???

Gee AMERICA 123 all this and Toyota still manages to turn a profit! We have a 3-4 month wait list on Prius, Corollas and Camry Hybrids are sold brfore they hit the lot. Yet less than a mile away the GM lot has pleanty of Cobalts, and HHR's on the front line.

If you are rejoicing because you think I got "knocked down" by Toyotas numbers you need to look over your shoulder because thats means GM is six feet under my friend.
