Re: SsangYong Says Their Future Models Won't Be Ugly
Well if they aren't going to make them ugly that rules out cloning anything from toyotanic or honduh and grills from nissen.

Re: SsangYong Says Their Future Models Won't Be Ugly
I guess this would be their first model that isn't really ugly...
![]() ...a little bit of Mercedes here and a little bit of BMW there. Thats because that white SsanYong Chairman luxury sedan is based on a W124 Mercedes E-class. Last edited by AG3 : 02-27-2008 at 06:34 PM. |

Re: BIG NEWS!!! SsangYong Says Their Future Models Won’t Be Ugly
Back when Mercedes and Chrysler "merged," I thought a similiar relationship would be cool for Chrysler, to use the previous-generation Mercedes-Benz platforms. I guess similiar to the Crossfire, but taken futher; for example, a Chrysler Imperial based on the previous S-Class, an entry-level luxury sedan based on the previous C-Class, etc. It's a shame that SsangYong, even using two-generation old platforms, gets treated better than Chrysler did.

Re: SsangYong Says Their Future Models Won't Be Ugly
Its nice to see that ssanyong have acknowledged that their designers were on speed when they penned all of their current designs, and even nicer that they've decided to change their styling in lieu of this (take note JEEP, yes the nitro is gross, and the Compass did have some appeal as a virtual car in you're amazing...ly crap ad, but it looks worse in real life...)
good to see they are serious about competeing in the dog-eat-dog Australian market, rather than the we-eat-dog Korean market. |
