We have our first shots of the upcoming Lexus luxury coupe, the LC, courtesy of The Smoking Tire Instragram account:
The LC will be based on the next LS modular RWD platform and is expected to launch next year, full reveal likely at NYIAS in Jan 2016 (the LS reveal has reportedly been bumped to the Tokyo show in October of this year). The car is aimed at the BMW 6 series coupe, Mercedes S-class coupe, and even the Porsche 911.
Engines are rumored as follows:
The design will take heavy inspiration from the LF-LC concept car first shown in January 2012.

- LC 500h: 3.6L V6 hybrid with 400 combined horsepower, an average fuel consumption of 5.0L/100km (47mpg) and a 5.5 second 0-100km/h time.
- LC 500: 5.0L turbo V8 engine with 550 horsepower, an average fuel consumption of 9.0L/100km (26mpg), a 4.5 second 0-100km/h time, and a 10-speed transmission.
