Re: No disguise: 2007 BMW X5 caught during photo shoot
Ummm....
![]() Just a bigger and fatter X3. I know I'm in the extreme minority... but I miss Bangle's designs already. First the 3... now the X5.

I used to love the 3-series, and I still like it, but the new coupe is almost... bland, particularly from the hind quarters. Apparently consumers don't agree with me, though, as sales are about 60,000(!) units in about half a year. |

BMW is going back to what they are best at.....GREAT CARS with the "Same sausage different lengths" looks. A Beamer is not about looks, It's all about Driving.

Re: No disguise: 2007 BMW X5 caught during photo shoot
I think BMW's designs are distinctive, though not my cup of tea. But the one thing I really don't understand is the strange, organic shape of the headlamps on several models, including this new X5 or the taillamps on the new 3-series. They don't follow any other lines on the car and, as a result, look unnatural to me. In general, the new generation of BMW's have too many jarring slashes, lines, surfaces and contours inside and out. Again, just not my cup of tea.
