Nissan goes for Scion market:
http://autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=102000
DETROIT -- Nissan North America will bring a car smaller than the Sentra to its U.S. lineup by mid to late 2006. The new model, which draws a bead on Toyota’s Scion lineup, will be based on the Nissan Sport Concept the company will publicly reveal at the New York auto show. The new model also will draw on the Scion tC sports coupe-like Nissan Azeal concept shown at Detroit in January. ![]() Last edited by Rex Raider : 03-20-2005 at 08:08 PM. |

Re: Nissan goes for Scion market:
The cars interior lines ans exterior remined me of somthing I have seen before. Then it hit me, the car must use the same platform as the new swift. I have read before that Nissan doesn't make kei cars, but instead make deals with companies (mostly Suzuki) to borrow from them. I heard there was another car based of the Wagon R that Nissan is producing and selling. I think that the Nissan looks really cool, but it is a concept, the Swift looked extra cool(especially the interior) in it's concept phases as well. Look at the gallery of the swift here or Concept S here and compare exterior lines and dash to that of new swift. I personally like the roundness of the swift better, The nissan reminds me mor of a small Mazda 3 wagon.

I like it. Kind of like a Vibe/Matrix 2-door.
Way more "hip" than the Sentra.

Re: Nissan goes for Scion market:
Nissan sucks, I don't like anything they make. Weird designs thanks to their French owners. I used to like the Pathfinder but even that has gone to the dogs.
