Re: next generation Suburu Forester Breaks Cover
Thanks for posting. It indeed doesn't really look different but its evolving (not a bad thing). It isn't getting watered down it seems. I hope Subaru will always offer a tough little AWD/manual wagon for me

Nice find!
However, I really dislike the new look of Suburu. Their new grilles look like Chrysler grilles, and their headlights look like stuff from the 90s.

Re: next generation Suburu Forester Breaks Cover
Yeah there is definitely a lot of Toyota in there, especially in the rear end and about, where there are similarities to the new Highlander. It's not ugly though, but not really stylish either. It's too bad that Subaru see themselves as more of an engineering company where design doesn't matter. I guess recently they've learned the hard way that awesome engineering just isn't enough to sell a car.

From that angle, I see a hint of 9-7X in the front end...which is ok. Some may not like it but this thing wont be as poor of a shot as the new WRX which is nasty.

Re: next generation Suburu Forester Breaks Cover
Well, there's a reason new Subarus might have some Saab flavor--when they were developed the plan was probably to share them with Saab. I've read that the 2008 Tribeca uses sheetmetal originally intended for the 9-6X.
This new Forester, though, looks more like the Mitsubishi Outlander than anything else to me. Based on this shot, I like it. What's with the previous generation in the top left?

Re: next generation Suburu Forester Breaks Cover
A side profile view would be nice to see if it's still boxy or not

Re: next generation Suburu Forester Breaks Cover
I never like the current/old version, too boxy and plain. This is an improvement but I wouldn't call it good looking. The only Subaru I really like is the Outback.

Re: next generation Suburu Forester Breaks Cover
I could see buying one for the wife, but not for myself. Say what you will about Subaru's, but they are great snow cars. I haven't driven one, but guys I've talked with who have used them when skiing have talked it up. And this was from a guy who owned a Z71 Chevy.
