Credit to Auto Spies. Credit to The car connection which I like more.
A redesigned/seriusly upgraded Audi A4 has been spotted. Horsepower bumps will start from the current 180/220 numbers. Audi is seriusly upgrading its portfolio, with this car, a new TT, an A7 Luxury SUV, a 9-3X competitor the A3, and a 911/XLR/DB8 competitor dubbed the Le Mans. I like the. new face a lot.

We need the CTS downsized with AWD. We need the 9-3X on Sigma. We need a 40k roadster. We need every envoy relative redesigned (and thats a full house), and that DOD technology put on every engine sold in these here united states. Why isnt it on other engines? some1 answer this please!

Or maybe Audi should try there hand at a rear drive sedan then things would really get intresting. And does anyone like me see the new grilles for the 05 Audi's (without seeming insensitive ) look like a cleft pallete birth abnormality? To me it ruins an otherwise fine car.

It looks ugly.
CTS isn't going to be downsized. It might be trimmed a bit, but I doubt it.

9-3 isn't going to Sigma. Sigma is a Cadillac exclusive.
What we need is a new 9-5.

The CTS will be downsized by as much as three inches actually. And you are right, we need a new 9-5

Whats the point in developing 3 RWD platforms? Sigma, Kappa, and umm whats it called ZETA. Is it like Sigma can have AWD Kappa is small and Zeta is big? Ang I like the new A6 grill. It looks great when u see it in person.

As I understand it, Sigma is a premium platform with expensive components. You really couldn't sell these cars at less than Cadillac prices profitably. Kappa is small, Zeta is large but designed to be in the middle cost-wise.

That's the current A4 with the (expected) new grille design. Where's the new car? The A4 redo was just released, I doubt an altogether new one will be out until a couple more years.

I heard that a basic version of Sigma, internally called Sigma Lite or similar, is the basis for most of GM's upcoming RWD stuff... outside of Cadillac. Which makes sense, as it'd be very expensive and non-value-added to start from scratch on a new RWD platform for the non-Cadillac brands.

As for the CTS? It probably is too big -- based on its intended segment. I always thought it a competitor to BMW 3-, etc. , but the media has often compared it to the 5-series-sized class. With the STS as it is, a somewhat smaller CTS would be a good move.

I really like what I can see in the spy pictures. You are right. We need a flexible CTS lineup. Hopefully, Caddy will be able to pull out coupes, convertibles, and AWD versions such as Infiniti's attempt with the G35 and BMW's 3 and Benz's C-Class.

Audi is really making a comeback. Their cars during the early and mid 90s were horrible, but once the A8 came out DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS!!!!

Audi still packs more luxury features into a car than most other manufacturers, and they are frequently coming up with new ideas. They have by far the best AWD system on the market. Unfortunately, long-term reliability has dropped substantially. That's why instead of a used A6 or S4, I bought a Buick.

zeta is essentially a cheap signma playform....where sigma uses expensive hybrid alloys and titanium and stuff...zeta just used steel and aluminum. it would be cool to see an audi with RWD but I don't see it happening anytime soon

Would the GTO be on the smaller or bigger platform then? probably zeta, the smallest zeta. I think that they should make like a Pontiac 'GT' with a v6 and throw in a v8 and call it a GTO. Cuz the original one was based on a normal car, rite? And what if the next camaro is just a rebadged GTO!!! Omg noooo....

Wrong! It was redesigned for model year 2002, this is probably its mid cycle update or w/e.

Yes, I agree. And a timely update to the CTS line, replete with coupes and convertibles, is much more important than huge distractions like ULS's and Ciens.

Yes!!! We need cadillacs 'volume' lines to be updated with coupes convertibles wagons AWD and dual transmission options on all engines. Like BMW manages to do.
