"Ferrari has launched a new supercar, along with a novel driving program.

The new FXX is a highly-modified Enzo, one featuring an 800-bhp 6.3-liter V-12, larger composite ceramic disc brakes with specially-designed Brembo pads and brake cooling system, and a reworked gearbox that shifts at nearly Formula 1 car-like speed. Reconfigured bodywork produces 40 percent greater downforce. But what really separates the FXX from other exotic machines is its advanced telemetry system that measures 39 different vehicle parameters, with the data reviewed by Ferrari test drivers, Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher, thus offering the FXX’s new owner some sage driving advice (to say the least).

With the FXX being a purely competition car (not street legal), Ferrari will make occasional track day arrangements at various international circuits for the first two years. Delivery of the car will take place at the Italian legend’s famed test track, Fiorano, where the new owner will perform the initial shakedown.

Better hurry and place your order: Ferrari will only build “20 or so” FXX cars in total. The price for “Client Test Driver” status? A cool 1.5 million Euros."


Even though it isn't a street legal car, I'm sure that engine will find itself into the next Ferrari super car.

I bet you my Z06 and the other 25 or so Z06's i could buy for the same money could beat it... one for racing and 25 to slow the Ferrari down

Still ugly as sin. Ferrari hasn't built a good looking Halo vehicle since the F40 IMO. The F50 was so so and the Enzo is just plain hideous. The horsepower increase is nice but since it isn't street legal....whats the point?

Why waste the news space?........It's an 800 hp Ferrari!!!!! I'd rather read about this than toyota/lexus news........Ofcourse at 1.5 million $$ it's a bit out of my reach.......If I was to win the lottery id get............a freakin vette!!!!!! To me it sounds like Ferrari is getting back to it's original status....selling race cars to rich people.

800 hp? So what. I'll go to Route 66 or Union Grove if I want to see machines with a grand of horsepower. I'll take a vette and put that saved money in the bank or invest it.

Who cares if your Corvette could supposedly beat this? A EU1.5-million car says a lot mor than a Corvette around the world. Same goes for a Porsche 911 - it can't hold a candle against this Ferrari, through status nor speed.

Let's let the 20 or so wigs be big. When my new Z06 comes, I will be happy (actually, it is my wife's-I'll still have to drive my now 500 hp '02 Formula WS6; but, I can dream, can't I?)
