I wonder how the Solstice will match up against this?

Maybe a turbocharged Buick (Bengal) would be a good answer? ![]()

I think it will match up very well if it gets the rumored 240hp turbo ECOTEC. If it gets the Ion Redline and Cobalt SS's supercharged ECOTEC it will be quick but not Boxter quick.

Wow, that looks about 1763709 times better than the 997. Sorta' like a mini-Maserati.
As for a GM Boxter/Z4 competitor how about a revived Saab Sonnet based on the Solstice w/ a variable displacement turbo 4 (or has GM killed that program at Saab?). Especialy if they can get the Solstice's weight under controll it should be the performance leader (low weight is everything in this segment). ...however I'd like to see the E-type brought into production ever more (based on the next Miata?). That would own oldschool :afro: |

Current Boxster:
![]() It's apparently an all new car, but immediately noticeable are the new headlights and front bumper. The rear flares differently as well. I guess you have to know the car to spot the differences. Probably what the Porsche site said about the C6.

It's not a total difference form the last one, but still looks good.
