Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
Good to see, GM is definately improving on the interior and exterior design, definately looking forward to more and more models picking up the new interior styles.

Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
GM had no place to go but up...if you look inside a Pontiac G6 you'll see a standard quality that is far below even the cheapest Korean import. Hopefully Saturn will get this car as the next Aura which although being a step forward wasn't good enough for conquest sales form European or Japanese competitors. I personally thought the Current Aura interior to still show poor fit, finish with cheap plastic everywhere,

I have been in the 2008 Camry and its plastics are cheaper than than the Aura and I found plastic flashing on the edges of storage bins. I havent seen any such thing in the Aura. The worst fit and finish issue in the Aura is the alignment of the trim on the doors and dash. Its pretty good beyond that. The G6's interior is not worse than whats found on lower end Hyundai products. |

Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
I agree.. the G6 interior is just sort of there... its okay but not great. especially the wide swatch of plastic over the passenger side area... no details no lines no trim etc... really boring

Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
The sonata looks good in pictures, until you see it in person. Its a cheap imitation of Lexus, and the cheap shows. that is bad. I would rather originality than cheap knockoff

Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
The G6 interior is probably the worst out there. Small buttons, cheap looking plastic and a shift noob that look like a baseball. The G6 needs a revamp and a revamp now.

Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
The g6's interior does seem spartan when compared to the rest of the Ep3 lineup, but isn't that the way the brands are slotted in? Not necessarily an excuse for having a dull interior, but it's not terrible, just boring.
Love the pics of the new Insignia, the design and execution are A+. However the transmission tunnel looks wide by the bottom of the console, could be a problem with knee room, and the window buttons seem to be in an akward place. Last edited by Golden Oldsy : 06-05-2008 at 07:57 PM. |

Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
pity that Hyundai couldn't make the Genesis dash more attractive.

Re: More praise for the Opel Insignia interior
You bought an HHR, I don't think you have any room to say whether or not an interior is cheap.
