I think that this is by far the best looking Benz out there. This will be a great competitor for the upcoming STS-V. :woot2:

Mercedes-Benz CLS55 AMG photos here!!!!

Looks like a current model S-Class that's melting! Melting! Oh what a... <_<

Ahem...

In reality I think it has nice, sleek lines although I think it looks somewhat odd from the rear and the sides, but not so much that I wouldn't want one, especially with that blown 5.5L V8 under the hood. But for $118,000, I would probably be inclined to opt for something more civilized. Nevertheless, its performance is something. 0-62MPH (0-62MPH?) in 4.7 seconds is just over half a second more than the '05 Corvette's 0-60MPH time of 4.1 seconds (as estimated by Motor Trend: http://motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_....te/index7.html). That's pretty good for a car that weighs close to half a ton more.

I like it although the front lights remind me a KIA a bit.
I think it's better looking than any new Benz.
But does Mercedes having E/S-class models need another limousine???

0 to 62 mph = 0 to 100 kph

Well it makes more sense then the old system. Exactly who decided there was 12 inches in a foot?

And a 10cmx10cm box will hold exactly 1 litre of water, and it will weigh exactly 1 kg. Neat huh? Althoguh something that actually makes sense might be a bit confusing to some of you.

I'm not really digging the "chopped" greenhouse on cars like this & the Chrysler 300. It's gotta feel claustrophobic inside!

I hope this trend passes quickly.

Porsche called, they want their headlights back.

Seriously though it looks good, though not my bag, and they should leave the downward sloping rear ends back in the early 90's where they belong.

ah i like that design better than what BMW has going on. love the sharp curve of the arching fenders and beltline. i usually don't like mercedes wheel placement (rear wheels usually seem too far forward to me), but i like this stance.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't possibly get even remotely excited over all of these ridiculously expensive high-end cars. I'm more excited about the Pontiac G6 than I am about some silly CLS @ US$118k, but a lot of that has to do with the weak US dollar right now. If the currency situation was reversed, the car might sell for US$70k. But it's not, so due to that, the door is WIDE OPEN for GM to make YES, an STS-V. The car would be 90% of the CLS for half the price.

Like I said before, this is by far the best looking vehicle Mercedes-Benz currently has in its line-up. I went to MB U.S website yesterday, and they had nothing at all on the new CLS, very odd. But they did have a future vehicles section which has the upcoming GST in it.

It is very beautiful although a tad weird which is fine. This thing will cost a pretty penny, I don't think it will even remotely compete with the CTS-V. Merecedes has to stop insulting our intelligence by calling this sedan a coupe. Who are they kidding?

Looks very nice and unique. I wonder how this styling will age. Like the other guy said, I like MB's styling direction more than BMW's. Im really hope they do something special with the STS-V. I personally dont like the vanilla CTS too much but think the CTS-V looks good... so Im hoping that because I like the STS already the STS-V blows me away

PS. where are the interior shots!?
