I don't know why, but I'm very excited to see the Santa fe un-camoed. Even under wraps it looks like it'll have more of upscale appearance...

I'll try to get more pics, i know where these guys have been hanging out. theres another LONGER santa fe running around with these guys. im real bummed i didnt get a better shot of the van.. it was virtually un cammoed, just with tape on it.

all of them had GREAT interiors. nice fit and finish.

the problem i was having was my camera has a few second delay after the button is pressed. so by the time the camera snapped the pic, it had moved out of frame.

they were putting up good resistance to me and my wife shooting them, but we aint skeerd.

lol

Did they have any Tiburon variants running around? I'm curious. So the Hyundai guys know you are following them....and you still managed to get some nice shots. Good job man. I wish we had camoed cars driving around here.

I'm envious of people who live in areas of the country where the auto companies test their cars; it would certainly make for a more interesting commute.

Good for you, lionfish, and your wife(!) for snapping these photos, even if they make upcoming Hyundais look good.

I did see a "sports car" i wanna say it was a convertable. it had so much camo on it, it was hard to tell. It was the first thing they hid from us. it was gone by the time we got where we could take the shots.

hmmmm... that makes me think of something... didn't kia buy the design of the lotus elan a few years back? did kia ever sell a version of it? obviously not in north america... but i can't imagine they'd have bought the plans and not used them. though by now it'd be rather outdated...

with apologies to the cavalier and sunbird.

edit: i got off my lazy a$$ and looked it up myself. here's a link if anyone cares:

Lotus / Kia Elan information

I emailed you LionFish, I'd like to know where they are hanging since I work in a very close proximity to Nissan Design America (If it's in La Jolla as I thought)

I'd like to know so I can get out there once or twice

Could you get more shots of this car? Possibly the interior. It's an XG350 replacement, code-named TG.

Nissan design is near the northgate exit on the north side of I-80 in sacramento. these cars were photographed on the frontage road right in front of it, and a little to the west.

the gas station shot was taken on the corner of west elcamino ave and gateway oaks. also in sacramento (about a mile away from the nissan place)

I drove by today, no sign of them. I'll keep my eyes open though. the trailers they arrived in are still out front. If i can get better shots of the interior i will.

ok :-( Wrong Nissan design center.

keep checking that area out, they are bound to return if the trailers are still there. they will probably be there at a nearby building or dealership (or the trailers) to have instruments checked every evening, probably around dinner time, after rush hour.
