I really like the looks of the Venza, but this car in total looks gnarly to me despite the creative rear end treatment.

Well put.

And I agree with you about the Venza. It's really the best looking vehicle to wear the Toyota badge IMO.

The other Toyota I like a great deal is the Scion TC. It's about as perfect as a car like that could be. I'm an "armchair" designer myself (like so many), and when I look closely at a new car I wonder to just how I might change or improve it. I can find nothing with the TC I would change.

Why anyone would put down good money to be seen in that thing is beyond me.

Not totally sold on the styling. But if you want an EPA Large car with tons of storage, and without the feeling you're driving a milk carton, this is a good bet. Wouldn't surprise me if this was another case where GMI got it wrong and the car sells.

Meanwhile the Buick Regal is going to own the traditional Accord market of small sporty midsizers. But that's a business decision on Honda's part I guess.

Thanks for posting those pics.....I gave them a good look. I can't put my finger on why, but to my eyes there is an inherent forced awkwardness to the feel of this car, like a whole committee of designers tried too hard to be creative and ended up with something resembling backwoods Appalachain inbreeding.

Re: Honda Creates Crosstour Instead Of Accord Wagon

If it had a GM marque on the thing, pundits would be screaming Aztek, Cimarron, Catera, V8-6-4's & alike...

but because who did it...I'm sure it will win over many-many thousands in sales and many-many accolades from the "major" car rags that are being sold...

What are you talking about? This thing has been bashed to hell and back by virtually everyone. Honda's own facebook fan page for this monstrosity makes for some entertaining reading.

I agree. Honda is turning out to be pretty good at building bigger vehicles, first with the Odyssey, then the '08 Accord, and now this.

Well burnsey, I'm just stating my opinion here...

It'll still sell by leaps and wait for the car magazine reviews!

They'll be laying down palm branches as they enter the showroom!!!

If it doesn't, I'll concede! Remind me of this 2 years from now burnsey...in the meantime, have some of your pie...
