    GMI'spy 2011 VW Jetta Round 2

Back in May I was the first to bring GMI exclusive pictures of the 2011 VW Jetta (at the time i had no clue what it was). However I was forced to take those original photographs with a camera phone and because of that i was itching for a rematch with the car. Earlier today my wish was granted and I got these photographs with my normal lense. I could not get quite as close as the pics that BP and crew captured but I did the best i could enjoy and one more pic will be coming later today so stay tuned. And i did see a white tester as well that escaped my lense but it looks way better in black anyway IMO

It mildly resembles an A4. It will probably look even more like an A4 once the LED headlights are on.

In the back, it's Audi meets Kia Optima. In the front, it's as bland and outdated as can be -- I would hope it's just skillful camo!

As for the badging, it's a cross between Daewoo and Toyota -- one make with serious baggage, the other which is now making serious baggage.

I ask again, did Detriot send out sleeper sabateurs to work at its competitors?

Yeah, my first thought of the rear picture was a few-years-old A4.... silly Vee Dub, copying their own design work. I like the squared off lights MUCh better than the current rounded GTI/Jetta Wagon ones.... those things look like hell!!!

The Toyota badge seems right at home on it. It's really very mundane looking. It's hard to believe people pay so much for VWs sometimes.

the badge is actually an old great wall emblem (a chinese company) and Vdub does have a history of cross dressing its testers (lets not forget the audi that had a upside down mitsu badge and lancer esque bodywork that was spotted in the desert somewhere)

Hmmm, do you have a direct link to the photos because they are not working for me for some reason. They usually always do. Very weird.

Oh no, geez, I've been wrong around here a lot lately.

I had no idea that Audi had done this in the past either. Thanks for the info. And congrats again for some very clear shots.

Hey, where did the pics go?

Well, the last picture is loading for me now. Still getting 3 red Xs for the first three regardless of browser.
