Re: Exclusive: BMW 7-Series Spy Shots

That stupid i-Drive kills any BMW with it. It's optional on the 1 and 3 series, and standard on the 5's and 7's, and I HATE IT! Ever try changing a radio station while driving a 5 series? I have, and I figure NASA had an easier time getting the crew of Apollo 13 safely back to earth than I did just trying to find a radio station with i-Drive.

BMWs are otherwise great cars. But i-Drive is enough to kill them for me.

The BangleButt lives!
Though that entire decklid may be camouflage. It looks like it will have loads of rear leg room, but the headroom may be cramped. Is it a longer wheelbase?
I'm guessing the top and right side of the dash are also camouflage.

Re: Exclusive: BMW 7-Series Spy Shots

CTS is a good 5-Series fighter... Cadillac needs to make the STS a 7-Series fighter! And something on the Alpha platform for a 3-Series fighter!

I also say Cadillac brings out something like the Cien Concept to go head to head with the new M1 BMW is coming out with. Also to go head to head with the new M-Benz SRL replacement.

I thought the same thing. That dash looks horriable too. (Kinda like the twin humps of the Grand Am dash).

It was, and we tried to get a better photo of the interior, but the driver kept speeding up. Unfortunately, our Tahoe is not as manueverable as a 7-series, so we had trouble keeping up with him in the traffic.

Also, the Bangle-Butt does look like it's been toned down a bit. Overall, the car screams generic BMW to me.

Couldn't agree more - the whale tail has got to go, from what I've seen on resale the 7 series is one to buy if like to burn money for fun. Only decent looking BMW (current) is the 3 series coupe.

What year of 5-series?

My mom's 2004 is annoying, but the 2008 and newer have 5 preset buttons on the dash like a normal radio.
