China's Auto Sohu discovered patent images of the production version of the Hi Cross concept.

The renderings suggest that the exterior styling of the new model remains faithful to the study, which measures 183.4 inches (4,660mm) long, 72.8 inches (1,850mm) wide and 65.7 inches (1,670mm) tall, riding on a 109.4-inch (2,780mm) wheelbase.

In concept guise, the Hi Cross offers seating for seven passengers in three seats and is powered by a hybrid drivetrain coupling a 2.0-liter four-cylinder direct injection gasoline engine to a CVT, an electric motor and a compact lithium-ion battery.

Nice. Now, it looks more X-Trail, and less N-Trail...

You guys in the USA never actually had the Nissan X-Trail, did you? I actually liked the styling of the X-Trail in Canada. It was simple and boxy and utilitarian. I contemplated purchasing one but I just couldn't get past the center mounted gauge cluster. I really hated that.
Research is what I am doing when I don't know what I am doing.

I wouldn't call it a copy but Traverse does make much more sense.

The shape of the rear window is VERY similar. But the Nissan is a lot shorter so it has to be chopped off.
