NO WORRIES, MATE! A few Priusses will make up for this!

Re: Clearcutting "Greenies"

This would be a little more newsworthy if Toyota destroyed wetlands or trees or whatever to build a new factory or something, but they can't really be held accountable for the actions of one of their dealers. (Plus, more than likely it was a contractor acting on their own, probably not done with any ill intent).

I doubt this will be picked up by very many news outlets.

Re: Clearcutting "Greenies"

"I can't believe that General Motors personally is responsible for cutting down over 7,500 Portsmouth NH trees near a General Motors Dealership, selling 20 year-old non-competitive General Motors cars including the General Motors mechanically-unreliable Pontiac Aztek which is not nearly as good as a Toyota, Lexus or Scion that runs on flowers and smells like butterflies, in an environmentally sensitive zone, which caused the entire city to collapse into a 1/2 mile wide General Motors sink hole.

Did we mention that General Motors is responsible for this mess and that GM cars aren't competitive?".

...The story if it were reported by the North American Auto Press

Yoy ever think you're the one that is biased ? or is GM not losing market sales, not losing their precious #1 status, not geting owned by Toyota.

In this case, we have a history of issues with this particular property," she said. "We felt it was important to bring a lawsuit and start the process."

Woodland said the city warned the dealership in the fall to refrain from cutting into the 100-foot buffer zone and went so far as to have a wetlands specialist flag off the area.

"Representations were made to the city that there would be no clear-cutting in the buffer zone," said Woodland. "So what we had was a knowing and willful violation."
The dealership specifically denied the towns wishes to gain increased visibility for their dealership. Among other things listed.

Hope it was worth it...
