Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

I didn't see this anywhere so I thought to post, if it's a repost, I apologize in advance. Does anyone not think they are read?

Re: Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

If they're fakes, they're damn good fakes. I personally don't like them though.

Side note: El Tio has a really funny sig.

Re: Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

Those look real to me. Not as advanced a design as I would have thought. Looks like a Freestyle and Crossfire mated. Not good.

Looks real to me. An evolution of the current one, but to 2006/7 standards. Not bad.

Re: Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

Wow.......those photos look real to me. I really hope they're fakes though, for Chrysler's sake. Talk about boring, bland, and square. Kind of like the Kia minivan. I remember hearing talks from the Chrysler designer that was responsible for the 300 saying something like, 'the new minivans will look nothing like minivans.' I was really expecting more from a design standpoint. This isn't good at all. The Sienna and Odyssey both have this thing beat in the exterior style department. Lets just hope the interior and options are up to par. Knowing Chrysler though, the interior will probably prove to be just as disappointing.

Re: Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

Meh...I kinda apathetic towards minivans. I mean can you actually design a good looking minivan exterior wise? Is it possible?

Re: Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

I'm concerned that DCX didn't take enough of a stylish leap with these vans...although I'm sure they concentrated on the NVH issues, they simply look...dull. Nothing stands out. Again, paving the way for Honda and Toyota to take the crown as well...

Remember, though, there's only so much redesigning you can do to a minivan for it to still be a minivan. Otherwise, it's a crossover! LOL!

Re: Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

You know, retro styling can be good--but not when the retro is from 1984.

Seriously--they look like the first-gen K-car vans--right down to the badge-engineered grille swap.

No you can't, without harming the functionality. Look at the Nissan Quest. a 2 box shape is a 2 box shape. yeah they are conservative but so is this segment. Probably one of the reason's it is getting smaller. The interior will make these vans a hit or a miss.

Re: Chrysler Minivans Unveiled?

The only good thing I can say about them is they look different from the current ones. They aren't ugly but my first impression isn't real good. I'll have to see them in person. Quality, fuel economy, and functionality will be just as important as how they look.
