Hrmm, thats not a good sign for my hopes of a G8 wagon in 2009, if the only other domestic V8 RWD wagon was a sales flop

Re: Chrysler expected to axe 3 products today

This is probably just the first of further model cuts. I thought the update on the Magnum was pretty good though. I think Chrysler is doing the right thing by dropping some slow selling models.

What a shame I always loved the Magnum, IMO better looking than any of its siblings.

I always preferred it to the 300 and Charger as well. I guess the concept of an affordable, practical wagon that looks good is dead

Now if only gm would do the same thing. Kill product overlap and slow selling models. Use that money that you would of spend on those slow selling product to promote your good models (cts, enclave and acadia).

Re: Chrysler expected to axe 3 products today

the Magnum could had been rechristened as a 300 Touring wagon like they do in Europe (or even bringing back the moniker Town & Country to a wagon)

Aspen is selling more units than Magnum right now, at a higher profit to Chrysler. Magnum is down over 30% year-over-year with a recent MCE. This doesn't prove anything about Nardelli, other than the fact that he looks at sales numbers.

Our only hope is that it might be less costly for GM to offer it since all the work to design it has already been done for Holden.

Re: Chrysler expected to axe 3 products today

There is no way the magnum and PT are slow sellers for Chrysler.
Doesnt add up.

Why dont they try redesigning the PT for once instead of axing it.

Product overlap? What does the PT overlap? Pacifica? Magnum?
