BMW not dropping "Ultimate Driving Machine" slogan

Contrary to a recent Advertising Age report picked up by Leftlane News and other news outlets, BMW will not drop its "Ultimate Driving Machine" tagline, ad agency GSD&M has said. "BMW has no intention of dropping, altering or in any way moving away from that great line, " spokesman Eric Webber told Cars.com. Instead, the slogan will be run in addition to the new "Company of Ideas" campaign.

Re: BMW not dropping "Ultimate Driving Machine" slogan

*Phew* That was close. Why abandon one of the best and most recognized slogans on Earth? With all the money that gets thrown around (and away) on slogans for Automakers that are either forgettable or just plain silly, BMW's is concise, evocotive, and straight forward. Dropping it would have been the very height of folly.

Re: BMW not dropping "Ultimate Driving Machine" slogan

Wise move. That is a good slogan. And more than a slogan. BMWs actually do perform well, and are a great driving car. Even though I've never owned, nor drivin one. I hope to maybe hop in the drivers seat in one at an autocross, if the driver trusts me that is.
