BMW has plans to build a minivan, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing the company's chief executive. "We have decided that the BMW brand will enter the segment" said Helmut Panke, "It's not a question of 'if,' but of 'what.' "

Re: BMW to build Minivan

What marketing genious invented the word "crossover"?

These vehicles aren't new, they're station wagons and minivans renamed so that people feel better about driving them.

Wagon = 4-doors, extended roofline, rear hatch.
Crossover = 4 doors, extended roofline, rear hatch.
Minivan = taller version of the above.

Re: BMW to build Minivan

sadly i bet they will be a hit, minivans easily reach into the 30-40k area anyway. the Buick CSV is going to be hit hard by this the most.

BMW building a minivan? All part of globilization. Being unique has gone out the door.

Re: BMW to build Minivan

I guess I'll ask the question nobody else has.

Will it be FWD or RWD?

If it is RWD is should be a pretty neat driving/handling vehicle.

If it is FWD I could care less.
