It's called expatriation of profits and it happens every day at Toyota.
You apparently will do and say anything to defend the indefensible.

Keep whining and sniveling; it won't change the North American job losses that buying a Toyota provides.

Screw all the Japanese car companies! If a majority of the American public was a bit more patriotic, the Japanese car companies would never be able to exist.

I hope GM really kicks everyone's ass!

Jobs are still jobs. You are basically giving the finger to all the americans employed by Toyota, and telling them you are holier than them, and that they should be pleased they are going to the unemployment office after your wish that their employer goes belly up comes true...

Niiiiice. Maybe you'll feel the same way if you lose your job tomorrow when someone elses wish that your employer goes belly up comes true.

And personally I don't understand why you guys are ok with canada and mexico getting a free pass... Mexican and Canadian jobs are still not American jobs....

Did you notice the bump in production announced by every vehicle maker? In fact all the money from the C4C program went to the dealers, their employees and their vendors....and the junkyards that collected the dead clunkers.
yup they didnt make a dime from it....last i read in well this thread they made over 200 million, so i guess your right it wasnt one dime, it was a boat load of em.

Here's the lineup going forward:

Toyota
VW
Ford
GM
Nissan

Sorry fanboys, but that's just the way the cards have been dealt. GM has lots and lots of ground to cover. Perception is just one....
sorry import fanboy, but you wish.

well if you would have paid attention instead of reading just what you wanted to read you would have seen that he said over 50%, so obviously there cant be another 50%..... sure it could be 49% or 12% but not 50% toyota lover.

What part of that do you not comprehend?

The last time we looked, over 50% of Toyota's production, full vehicles and parts content together, was imported.

Toyota causes a net loss of North American jobs.
Period.
End of story.
Cry, whine, obfuscate, call in PhishPhood and lie like a bandit all you want.
It's not going to change the truth.
Well said.....

yup a big fat finger to them, there were other jobs in town before toyota showed up, sure toyota takes your american dollars to japan...but as long as they share a little of our money with some american workers then they are A-OK. the only reason i would work in a toyota factory, is to finance a new GM vechical. F toyoda, we were fine before they showed up and will be fine when our souless saviours leave too.

Hes not nessecarly saying that he wishes the american toyota employees and there buisnesses would go under, what hes trying to say in his own way is that though those jobs are here in north america the money that "WE" as americans spend buying toyota goes straight back to japan. Its simple. And it does.

And just bc toyota has a bank that they go through in the USA for their payroll doesnt mean that its USA's money.

Oh and on canada and mexico i think we could take a drive up to there countries bc though there different countries, were all in the same continent. Which is if anyone doesnt know by now "North America".
