Sometime around 2005, I think, Dodge started teasing us with video previews and tidbits about the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon. Now, finally, 12 years and more than 4,000 videos later—again, I’m estimating here—we will see the Demon in all its glory at the New York Auto Show this week. And this is apparently it.

While Dodge hasn’t released any images of the car yet, this photo has been making the rounds on the internet this morning, and it sure looks like the real deal. And even if it somehow isn’t the official car, this is probably what it will look like. No surprises, really.

Did anyone really expect anything much different, than the same car we have looked at for years, but with more power. Oh, and wider tires and wheel arches too.

FCA: We will NEVER spend money on new platforms - too expensive! Just keep updating that 2009 Ram and Challenger until 2029.

I bet the competition reveals their competition soon after the reveal, which would kind of steal the spotlight.

yep, when your using a Platform (LX) for a Model like the Challenger, why not keep updating a model that's been increasing in sales since day one.

GT500 will soon be announced. I wonder if Ford is waiting for Demon spotlight, to steal it away.

Jokes aside, I'm assuming you do know they're adapting the Giorgio platform will be underpinning the next generation of these vehicles and the new RAM is a year away. Long overdue of course, but that's what happens when you're cash strapped.

The real reason they're not updating it is they're broke. They don't have much other choice.

I was kinda hoping it would have the fender flares bolted on with rivits look. Perhaps the 4wd version will have them, with Duratrac tires.

Yes, that is Ford, and they are pretty consistent. I think its shameful behavior

i wouldn't say they are "Broke", the Next Platform just isn't ready for a high volume productioin. i mean think about it. The Giulia JUST went on sale in the US..... Stevlio is working its way to production in EU.

RIvelts will look like Liberty Walk Aftermarket ware and There will not be a AWD Hellcat other than the Grand Cherokee and MAYBE TRX Ram.
