Re: 2012 Dodge Charger: First Look

It looks good, even thought i've seen the concept before....
now im wondering if the charger will remain a 4 door only model?

I'd love to duke it out over my next purchase of a charger/chally but only if the charger will come in 2 doors.

Odd...interesting assessment from one cropped, angled shot I guess? Even a Honda Crosstour looks good from that angle. Many cars have a dramatic character line like that.

I never liked it when it came out ten years ago and nothing has changed today...meh Dodge never really comes out with a bang after their concepts anyways.

Haven't seen much of the car yet, but they have my attention. I'll wait to criticize the whole car though.

You have obviously done no such thing: I have mentioned in previous posts that I own a Dodge, and have never slammed Ford. Also, there is nothing "misleading" about posting an image from a 1999 concept car.

Please think before running off your mouth.

It is stated the next gen Malibu will have rear hunches. I could never imagine what it would look like, seeing the Charger sketches I now have an idea.

On the thinking thing, I don't think I have run my mouth to you, ever!

BTW, if I am mistaken (and could have been) I take it back, the post has be deleted.

I think iirc, you are right...

Certainly if you look at the viability plan version of the charger, and that of the teaser yesterday, there does seem to be some noticeable difference...namely the slope of the window sill from C pillar forward to the A pillar...certainly invoking the 68-70 coke bottle fenders.

It's almost as if this current run of the charger is following the original...66 and 67, decent looking, but not world beaters. Next gen (68-70) were renowned as the best looking car to come out of Detroit. At the time, the release of the third gen (71-74) was touted as an improvement, although time hasn't bore that out...

Actually, through the 90's, chrysler/dodge were renowned for coming out with cars that were FAR more faithful to their concepts than any other company...particularly the viper and intrepid.

Re: 2012 Dodge Charger: First Look

Please don't let that be the new Charger. The world doesn't need another wedge-car. The current one's brash boxy Americana stands out, this one will blend in, only looking marginally different than an Accord, Taurus, Impala, G8, or any other wedge-cars that have the same basic look...
