I don't eat tofu and seaweed. However, I do sometimes relish in pickled bullwhip kelp and sea lettuce ( a type of green seaweed). As for red meat, I only eat buffalo meat, not the usual bovine meat. Buffalo meat, even though more expensive, is more tastier and healthier then the cow meat. More Omega fats and lean protein.

Yep, where is GM with the Kappa coupe? But we will be getting a Solstice coupe soon. I can definitely see a Kappa coupe for Chevy as well.

Re: 2011 Toyota RWD Coupe rendering

So how does this compare with the Alpha car GM is working on, or is this competition to the Solstice and Sky?

IMO, it's not the same because of the lack of seats. sure, the back seats of most compact coupes are small, but they still provide a little function and usually mean a little lower insurance cost as well. besides, the Solstice coupe looks a little cobbled together for me.

Re: 2011 Toyota RWD Coupe rendering

This is the second rendering of this car that ive seen, and both are ugly.

It looks like a Camry Solara, Lexus GS, and Nissan Z were all mashed together. However, this is just a rendering, so ill hold off on my actual opinion until i see the final thing.

I really hate those two small front lights and that weird hood bump. This car looks pretty ridiculous as is but could look much better with some work.

Re: 2011 Toyota RWD Coupe rendering

I have to admit, I like where they went with this one. I think if they simplified the front end a little (remove the vertical lines under the headlights and smooth the lower air intake) it would look really good. I like the Lexus influence they put in it.

I'm still trying to figure out why this was on the front page.

As you know, Toyota and Subaru are working on a new RWD model that will be built under both logos and is set to be launched in 2011. After we brought you a TopSpeed impression of how the Subaru version might look like, here’s now the Toyota version.

The car will be inspired by the classic rear-drive AE86 Toyota Corolla GT coupe from the 1980s. But, the Subaru version will also get its design by the Impreza, although it will shortened, lightened and will have a coupe body.

The 2010 RWD Coupe (we don’t know the name yet) will be powered by 2.0-liter flat four engine that will deliver 175bhp (for the naturally aspired version). Subaru will also unveil a 2.5-liter turbocharged version few months after the standard version.
Nasty! Good thing the Toyota version won't make it to NA.

It would have been nice if GM could answer this with something on the Alpha platform, but...

There is a fine line between UGLY and Mean. This looks like a Hyundai Genesis Coupe(The gill is almost direcly lifted from it), A Lexus, and the last Toyota Celica put together. This is:

The Solstice coupe is coming. There will not be a Chevy version. Poor sales on the convertibles and GM's turnaround plan are jeopardizing the future of these cars. Worse case scenario being floated is that the kappa will be discontinued and a limited amount of coupes will be made for 2009. The final decision has not been made and is dependent on the condition of the domestic car market.

Re: 2011 Toyota RWD Coupe rendering

I'd buy it. My desire to have a fun little RWD car would overpower my desire to own GM. If GM can't offer me what I want I'll look elsewhere. Nissan should never have stopped the 240Z.
