Re: 2010 Mazda3 Preproduction Interior Spied

Wow, I was really anticipating seeing it and worrying that the cruze would be dated already before it was produced. Not that I don't like the new mazda 3 interior, as I do and the interior is quite nice, but I am happy to see that it is not above the new cruze interms of style!! In fact I find it slightly resembles the current civic. 'RESEMBLES' is all.

The Cruze has a better interior.

I really like it. It looks like its driver centered and it looks like they borrowed the old DIC from the SAAB 9-3 on the topside of the dash. I was pissed when GM got rid of that.

I wasn't impressed with that part of the 9-3 interior redesign, either.

I do like the way this interior looks, it's nice to see such good choices (this, the Cruze) available.

I don't think it looks to bad, but I like the interior of the Cruze better.

I like the Cruze's interior better, but the new 3's exterior has it all over the Cruze to me.

The current Mazda3 Grand Touring comes with a host of standard and optional equipment. Rain sensing wipers, HIDs, available BOSE system with sirius, etc. etc. I don't think those features will go away for MY2010.

I expect bluetooth, push button start, and maybe a power driver's seat for once in the next Mazda3 Grand Touring. Current as I consider new compact and midsize sedans, the offers from Mazda are at the top of my list. I still love the current Mazda3 and I think the latest one is that much better! Can't wait to see the Cobalt and the new 3 go up against the new Civic in 2010!

I think i'll wait until i can judge the 3 and cruze interiors in the flesh, for real, too many conclusions are being drawn through spy pictures
Style is one thing to judge, interior plastics and materials are also another.

Go check out the interior plastics and materials on the 2009 Mazda6. That will give you an idea of what the 3 will be like. The new Mazda6 has much better interior materials than my dad's 2008 Aura XE by a long shot.

My wife's current ride - 2004 Mazda6s - V6 with a five speed manual. Back in the fall of 2004 GM forced me to the competition because they didn't offer a midsize sedan with a V6 and manual transmission.
