Cool 2009 Ford F-150 Undisguised!

Looks like some marketing man's gonna lose their job at Ford -- the new F-150 completely undisguised:

Re: 2009 Ford F-150 Undisguised!

Looks good, but I like the look of the current trucks, too (enough to own one).

My big question is, as always, what is under the hood? The 24V 5.4L isn't a bad piece, but it shouldn't be the most powerful motor available in the 1/2 tons, either, IMO.

Re: 2009 Ford F-150 Undisguised!

Damn, that really is undisguised.

Anyone feelin a little GMT800 with that trim at the bottom? Retro..But otherwise, no big shocker..especially in the interior, the definitely went for the evolved look, but I think it works. But I will still always be bugged by that drop slant in the door/window..hated it in the Super Duty trucks, hate it still.

Re: 2009 Ford F-150 Undisguised!

Thank God they finally put full-size front doors on the SuperCrew. I guess it's because of the CrewMax and MegaCab, but also because the Regular Cab loses those stupid little access doors. Yay!

Bad news for GM, but GM can hold their ground.

it looks good on the outside but won't we see a MCE for the GMT 900's in '09 too?

It won't be. The new 6.2L Boss (aka Hurricane) V8 will be there.

I like the Super Chief look. It will keep the F-150 on top.

unfortunately not, but the 5.4l will be better than now. Boss is 6 months late, and diesel 12 months late.

Re: 2009 Ford F-150 Undisguised!

I like the exterior so far. I would be interested in seeing the tail.

I'm not however a fan of the interior at all. Looks like Toyota was hired to do the job.

Am I the only one who doesn't like it, it sort of looks last gen Tundra from the front angle of the picture, mostly in the headlight. I want to like but I think the current is much better looking all around.
