Re: 2009 Ford F-150 First Drive Review

Most of those who are buying trucks as status symbols, don't buy trucks anymore.

Trucks will continue to get more features, because even people who use trucks as trucks, like to be comfortable while doing so.

The F-150 doesn't look that bad. Evidently you guys don't like anything that looks differen't. Quit hating on the F-150 as its not as bad as you guys say it is.

Re: 2009 Ford F-150 First Drive Review

I'm not saying the F-150 is bad at things like towing, cargo hauling etc It's just if you compare the new F-150 to trucks like the Chevy Silverado and the new dodge ram for example the boxy styling and the bigger is better theme can be a turnoff to some customers. However looks are usually not a priority to truck buyers that actually use their trucks for work (durability and workability are). My dad is one of those buyers. He bought his GMC Sierra back in 1993 and even though it's starting to show it's age it still runs and gets the job done.

I can't afford any of these and have only bought American so far but the Tundra is a ball to drive.
I bet you are in the minority here but I am glad to see you supporting the US.....oh wait, no. I bet you have not even driven any of the others and I know you havent driven this new F-150.

Love it! I like the F-150 so much more than the Silverado because it doesn't have an ugly front end.

With plastic bumpers (ends)

I only hope that the a s s end of the New F 150 is lower. They are hard to sell when a customer asks "How would you grab a case of beer out of the box?"
