Spy Shots: New Daewoo L4X (Holden Caprice)

Quote:
GM Daewoo is involved with many of GM's other subsidiary brands like Chevrolet and Pontiac. We never expected Holden as one of them when we came across these shots of the next-generation Statesman. Well, not the next-generation, but we learned that South Korea received the previous Holden Statesman in GM Daewoo guise for two years. Since it phased out, many GM Daewoo fans were anticipating on a new Statesman based on the Holden WM Statesman and Caprice.

I dont know, that car has allot of cool things that can make it a nice seller here also. Chevy does not have a large car, and this will fill the bill.

I'd like to see a Daewoo-badged Tahoe for Korea.

If Hyundai can have a RWD car, why not.

That's right, why not? Even if it doesn't sell thta much, at least it would do well for the brand.

While I definitely appreciate the contributions you have been making to the site lately, your persistent whining about things making or not making the news ticker is annoying, since it's clearly self-serving (as they drive traffic to your blog).

Might I suggest that you contact one of the admins via PM to reach some sort of agreement on what you're posting and whether it should or shouldn't make the news ticker so you can spare the rest of us your opinion of what should "definitely" make the news ticker.

BTW, I agree that this particular item is GM news-worthy.

That's the kind of update Buick needs instead of what we've seen lately on the LaX and Lucerne.

Re: Spy Shots: New Daewoo L4X (Holden Caprice)

The Statesman needs to be brought over as a Buick with nothing added besides a Buick grill. That car looks so much like my favorite Audi - the A8. If I could get something that looks like it costs $80 grand for half that - that would surely be amazing. If Hyndai could come out with a concept that looks like a Lexus (and you know that's the sheetmetal they're going to build - with regular headlights) then Buick could load a bunch of these Holdens and bring them over. DO IT ALREADY! It's better looking than the G8 (although both are smokin').

Come on GM, be the world company you should be. Blow away the barriers and be a truley world car company. There aren't too many 100% American, Japanese, or European car companies anymore. Today you have to appear to be everything to everyone. GM is one of the only car companies with enough resources, worldwide divisions, and talented employees to take on the world. Just stop giving Americans watered down versions of your best international stuff. It's time to stop thinking about barriers. Let's get this party started.
