General Motors will boost exports to China

http://www.detroitnews.com/apps/pbcs...47/1148/AUTO01General Motors Corp. will export $700 million in automotive components and fully-assembled Cadillacs from North America to its joint venture in China, Shanghai General Motors, Bloomberg News reported today.
GM has exported about $3.5 billion in vehicles, components and machinery to China over the past 10 years, the Detroit-based automaker said in a statement on its Web site.
China has become a focal point for GM as its U.S. sales continue to slide. GM's sales in China rose 25 percent in the first quarter to 289,915 vehicles. The automaker plans to almost double production in China to 1.7 million vehicles over the next three years, Bloomberg said

I was JUST about to say that! lol. Great minds think alike, and also stupid minds think alike.

This exporting of a few cars isn't going to affect the trade deficit that much, but some is still better than nothing. All those cheap Wal-mart goods really screw the equilibrium over.
