Re: Chinese Buick Regal caught in Red

I am on the other side of the fence here, it is underwhelming w/ the exception of the interior IMO

That would make for a nice Aura, too bad we won't see it until 2014 at the earliest.

Re: Chinese Buick Regal caught in Red

Although this would make a good Saturn (and maintain the Opel connection), It will:

1. Make more sense to Americans as a Buick, what with the perceived luxury of the brand.

2. Buick will be able to sell more of these than Saturn can dream of selling.

Pretty much next-gen Aura right?

There are only like 12 people under 70 years of age in the entire country who preceive Buick as Luxury.

Saturn already outsells Buick in this country with only 430 dealerships. The car belongs with Saturn.

Re: Chinese Buick Regal caught in Red

If Saturn does outsell Buick it is just barely, and they have twice as many models and the prices are cheaper. Saturn has never beaten Buick in any of the quality ratings/surveys and Buick is sold in foreign countries, Saturn is not.

This car needs to be a Buick. Saturn needs to go back to its roots. No Outlooks, no expensive sedans, etc.

Nope, this car belongs to Pontiac. This car is not really luxury, and there are 6 people of any age who perceive "Saturn" as luxury anyway.

But the car is/will already be sold in all of the "foreign" (for you) markets, it is only the US that is the problem, as GM fumbled everything and decided to develop seven midsize-to-large cars on Epsilon over 5 years...

Yes, it is a rebadged Insignia destined for China as a Regal, to be sold alongside the U.S bound LaCrosse. So, no we won't be getting the Buick version here in the U.S.

Most beautiful modern Buick I have ever seen.

Of course, I think the Insignia is the best looking modern GM sedan, too!

Re: Chinese Buick Regal caught in Red

I really don't see this as a Buick, especially next to the new LaCrosse. Its about the same size. Didn't Buick do that before and that worked just so well. This would be better as the new Aura. But I thought the new Aura would be completely different? I'm curious to see if Saturn still has a future.
