Chinese Buick Regal spotted again (in Red)

Red Buick Regal spotted again in Shanghai, well it's basically the Opel Insignia, what i want to find out is whether Shanghai GM will be changing the interior to make it more "chinese like"

It's got the Insignia's rear? I didn't know that.

Re: Chinese Buick Regal spotted again (in Red)

I'll go on record saying that, Insignia or not, that's a car I would seriously look at if sold as a Buick, if it has AWD, an engine with at least 250hp, and interior material quality on par with the Lexus ES350.

Here's a thought. Sell this as the Regal with the 2.0T engine, and sell the Lacrosse as V6-only. A great one-two punch to get Buick back on the map.

Re: Chinese Buick Regal spotted again (in Red)

I can't recall... is that the same lower front air-dam as is on the Insignia? All they changed here is the grille?

Also, what are the chances of this being sold in N.A.? I know there was a rumor about it recently...

EDIT: I would also really consider this car if it was sold here. I was warming to the idea of getting the next Aura, but would prefer waaaay way more to own a sexy Buick like this.

I would hope that there would be interior enhancements to make it more "Chinese like."
As much as I like Insignia, it really doesn't slot with the luxury feel of Buick -- especially in China, where Buick is far more highly regarded.

There SHOULD be interior upgrades, as far as I'm concerned.
There is no excuse not to.

Am I the only one that likes the Buick grille better than the Opel grill?

For some reason I like that car as a Buick. Seems upscale enough. I think it would sell here. It fits the market better as a Buick than it does as a Saturn IMO.

Now this is a buick I would be happy to pick up 10-15 years from now for $3k (seeing as I can't afford a new one now).

No. But I'm not liking that front end on that back end to be honest. I think it should be a little more squared off, maybe it's just me. I have always loved Buicks.

Oh man.... I love that...

I really hope we get a version of this car in NA. In my opinion it would make a great Buick over here.

And I like the Buick grille over the Opel. The new Buick grille looks really good.

I am also in love with that color of Red...WOW!

Re: Chinese Buick Regal spotted again (in Red)

Hmmm... I wonder if there's room in NA for the Insignia and the Lacrosse?!? Are there enough differences? Could the Insignia exist as the sportier model with the Lacrosse as the more affordable, more luxurious version?

This could speed up the elimination of Saturn. Which would be okay.

Outside of NA we can see what Buick SHOULD be...which is upsetting when I look at what we've got to settle on.

This car will not be sold in the US. It might be sold in Canada though.
