Thumbs down Re: Volkswagen recalls 62,000 Passats in Canada, U.S.

Why the f*** these Recall threads (specially about the competition) are not closed soon as they are posted?

Post and close 'em up!

Well said and bang on!

Except, I don't think Volkswagen sucks...

VW--Mechanics and Tow Truck Drivers wanted!

I didn't check it but their owner loyalty rates have to be very low as so many former owners vowed to never buy another, especially after the fuel injector fiasco.

Considering VW's tiny market share 68,000 vehicles is pretty sizeable.

You sure are in love with Eddie Haskell eh?

Well anyways, I own a Passat, 2.0T FSI, with a 6MT.

NO problems so far, OH except at 3800 miles my transmission was POS, and had to be replaced from the factory.

Im SO thankful I leased this car, and took the best years of its life, It'll save me thousands in the long run NOT having to do repairs.

Mind if I ask how much mileage you have on your VW Passat now?

...maybe they should just cover the problems up and avoid the recall???? Even though VW will get bad press, they are very proactive about recalls. Unlike GM who waits until there are a multitude of complaints before doing anything about it (if at all).

Well I got a happy birthday card, but no recall. SO either your wrong, or my car is not in the affected vin range.

Oh, that's nothing. Just wait till your Passat gets around 25 to 40,000 miles on it. You'll be lucky not to have any problems with it. Sorry to say.

If we are providing a newsworthy item that a customer may not be aware of, all that is needed is mis-information and specualtion on what is really not a "debatable" topic....save as other posters said...ohh...GM's are POS, and alike...
It also keeps loads of BS out of the news forums.
This is why when I post what the we receive at the dealer level, I close it.

If anyone needs specific recall information, they should always verify it with their VIN# at their respective local dealership...
