You can't blame them... when everyone in the world is brainwashed in the anti-American, pro-Japanese mantra. These people just jump on the chance to celebrate the contrary when it rarely (Although not recently) pops up.

I like having Toyota's problems exposed, as there's enough light shed on domestic manufacturers problems... but to suggest that anyone thinks Toyota never has issues is exaggerating.

It's not that anyone ever said that Toyota doesn't recall, it is just that we never hear it in the press when they do and there has barely been a peep about the record breaking recalls they have had over the past 2 years or so. I for one think recalls are a good thing because it shows that a car company has identified a problem and is making an effort to fix it free of charge. But if the Press and Public are going to Judge one company harshly by recalls then judge them all harshly. A recall at GM or Ford should not be cast in a negative light while a Recall at Toyota or Nissan or Honda is somehow not worth mentioning or worse even, characterized as some how proving its commitment to quality.

The GM recall threads are closed on purpose. What is there to discuss? I post the GM communication to it's dealers and that is all that is needed.
IMO, non-GM recalls shouldn't be posted here in the recall section...all it does is incite flaming from "both sides" of the respective aisles in the news sections...

Yes, 19 posts so far, and not all of them negative. That's on track to pass the GMT 900/Camaro threads.

By the way, there's a rumor going around that Toyota is having a recall for a misprint in the owners manual. Something about claiming to be an American company.

I agree

or if need be, post the recall, close it and then offer a feedback link somewhere in the forums if necessary for those who just can't wait to rip on Toyota, Honda, etc.

I have no problem closing post in the recall area, and then discuss it in general news.

Or have the media saying when Toyota recalled the Scion TC that the recall will be good for Toyota. Yes I know they were talking about how much better Toyota's customer service is compared to American counterpart.

Also with my first post I was being Sarcastic. Since I do Build, Buy, and Sell GM !!!
