Recall: 2005 Uplander Short Wheel Base
I just received a recall notice for my 2005 Uplander Short Wheel Base, bought in Canada reference number 05548 Engine Harmonic Balancer Not Seated.

Pretty much all they need to do is re-torque a bolt to specifications, since it may not have been put on tight enough. Simple enough for the dealer to do. Definitely get it done, since if the engine does have the problem, it could end up causing total engine failure.

There is already a thread on this. The Harmonic Balancer is the pulley on the end of the crank shaft that your serpentine belt goes around. It is a pulley with a rubber inside, subsiding engine vibrations.
As pertains to the recall, the harmonic is about 13 lbs off of optimal torque. No biggie, takes a few minutes, and isn't as big of a deal as many make it sound.
