IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED

Product Enhancement Bulletin 06157 is being released today to provide dealers with a service procedure to remove the seven-blade engine cooling fan and install an eight-blade fan on certain 2007 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and HUMMER H3 vehicles. The seven-blade fan on these vehicles may cause excessive noise.

A list containing the involved VINs is attached. The list is sorted by dealer Business Associate Code for easy reference.If your code is not listed then none of the involved vehicles have been identified as being in your new vehicle inventory.

This service procedure should be completed as soon as possible on involved vehicles currently in dealer inventory and customer vehicles that return to the dealer for any type of service during the New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage period, at which time this bulletin will expire.

Completion of this procedure will help ensure customer satisfaction and reduce the possibility of future complaints. Please see the attached bulletin for details.

GM Vehicle Inquiry System (GMVIS)
GMVIS information will be available October 11, 2006.

Service Information System (SI)
Bulletin 06157 is scheduled to be available on October 11, 2006.

    GENERAL INFORMATION:
    Parts required to complete this recall are to be obtained from General Motors Service Parts Operations (GMSPO). Please refer toyour "involved vehicles listing" before ordering parts. Normal orders should be placed on a DRO = Daily Replenishment Order. In an emergency situation, parts should be ordered on a CSO = Customer Special Order.
