Re: GM Recalls Pontiac Vibe For Glass Defect

On my 2000 Grand Am GT, we've replaced the lower intake manifold three times. $500 a time.

No wonder you drive a Civic now! I was so mad when it happened weeks before christmas on a nearly new car, i said never again! After replacing the head gasket on my Cavalier, then the Grand Am... i wanted to buy an import and ended up with a Vibe, the best of both worlds, my mechanic was disappointed to see me in a reliable Vibe!

That's one of the reasons I bought the Civic. I had some build issues with my domestic cars (after several heavily used years) and I thought that imports would be exponentially better.

I was wrong. While the interior and exterior looks better in terms of "quality" and "aesthetics", that, I found, doesn't always mean anything.

The brand new Civic, babied, has given me more problems in two years than all three of my American cars (Grand Am, Intrepid, Firebird) combined, all several years old.

Hugely disappointed in Honda's quality on this car, unfortunately. I know not everyone has all the issues I've had, but I learned the hard way.

I'm still teetering on what to do when I replace this car . I want to go back to domestic, but none of their offerings interest me.
