I believe my 2008 HHR 2LT (top of the line) does not have side impact airbags. Why would it not be offered on a top of the line model? If I got an LT it apparently comes with it but because I wanted the chrome package and the hot stereo, ooops, can't have side air bags! Ugh. I know its my fault for not reading the options better but its frustrating to see that apparently Chevrolet has decided the HHR is unsafe without them.
