Re: Engine Fires? Nissan Stops Sales of Altima, Sentra

That really typical Nissan quality there. The Nissan Sentra is one of the worst small cars out there.

Lately, Carlos Ghosen have been cost-cutting too much. The interior plastics are too thin and the center console ululates too much fake metallic metal.

Re: Engine Fires? Nissan Stops Sales of Altima, Sentra

I like the Altima, but it requires premium fuel, which I think hurts sales. Alternator problems also seem to be a common problem on Nissan's.

People seem to forget that cars are mechanical machines and all manufacturers will have problems at some point. There is no such thing as a perfect car.... Never was, never will be.

I think Nissan has been missing lately on styling. They seem to be getting uglier.

Re: Engine Fires? Nissan Stops Sales of Altima, Sentra

I saw the not-yet released 2007 v6 Altima today. It was stuck in heavy LA traffic so I got a good gawk at it. It had a blue license plate with all the badges removed. It's probably in Los Angeles for long distance testing, but most likely because Nissan's US headquarter is in Orange County.

It's a great looking car in person... really sporty looking with a lot of curves and lines in the right places. Anyway, Nissan should have just enough time to double check and fix any problem the 2007 Altima may have with the i4 engine.
