  • DESCRIPTION:
    CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM #06144- OCTOBER 11, 2006
    • Certain 2007 Chevrolet Kodiak and GMC TopKick C4500/5500 Series 4WD vehicles were built with an incorrect prop shaft. The prop shaft on these vehicles is too short, resulting in a possible prop shaft vibration at higher vehicle speeds.
    • Dealers are to install a new prop shaft.
    Refer to Customer Satisfaction Program #06144 for further information


    EFFECTIVE DATE:
    Initial owner mailing is scheduled to begin: 10-18-06


    GENERAL INFORMATION:
    Parts required to complete this program are to be obtained from General Motors Service and Parts Operations (GMSPO). Please refer to your "involved vehicles listing" before ordering parts. Normal orders should be placed on a DRO = Daily Replenishment Order. In an emergency situation, parts should be ordered on a CSO = Customer Special Order.

    * The measurement of the prop shaft is 1242.0 mm. Please review the order information below before placing orders for prop shaft.
    PROP SHAFTS CANNOT BE RETURNED.

    1. Order prop shaft P/N 15170589.
    2. Enter the tube length in the comment field. The length must be entered as follows: FRT INT RR 1242.0 MM
    3. Failure to enter the length exactly like above will cause the order to be rejected upon receipt at the supplier.
