Chrysler Recalls 268,800 Vehicles

Chrysler Recalls 268,800 Vehicles

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group is recalling 268,800 vehicles from the 2005-2006 model years to replace a faulty front windshield wiper motor, the company said Monday.
The wiper motor armature shaft on the vehicles, which include the Dodge Durango, Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town & Country, can break and disable the wipers, Chrysler said.
The company said it had notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the voluntary recall. Owners will be notified when parts are available.
No accidents or injuries have been reported related to the problem, Chrysler said.

Well atleast they took care of it before the NHTSA found out for themselves.

The fix will be a bottle of Rain-X and a clean cloth.

I doubt the media will exagerate it. Chrysler has been treated alot better in the press than GM and Ford.

Yeah.I heard one station saying Chrysler was leading an American automaker revival. Why!? Just because they're not losing market share?

If this was a Toyota recall, people would be laughing their asses off.

This is also a GM fansite. Or should I say Domestic fansite. Toyota gets the utmost respect from everyone, so it's just like seeing the star quarterback of an opposing team injured.

First of all, this is only a GM fansite, and second of all, just because it's a GM site doesn't mean people have to act like a bunch of raving lunatics whenever something about the competition comes up.
