Thanks! I was going to track my paperwork from that visit down and check the part number used vs. the one you posted in the bulletin, but this is even easier!

I have had loss of power steering at low speeds in my 2004 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab z71, has there been a bulletin on this? It sucks not having power steering when pulling into a tight parking spot.

I have a 2005 Pontiac G6. I am having this problems currently. I am having nothing but trouble with the dealership on this issue. It's not acting up for them. It acted up for me and the porter but not the actual person workin on it. So they are not wanting to fix it. Plus Ive called 5 pontiac dealers around me and none of them offer a loan car program. I moved 3 hours away from my family for school and cant barrow a car from someone. They dont have a loaner car program so I had to rent a car at my cost and Pontiac wont reimburse me. The dealership finally decided to order the parts from pontiac and in the mean time Im paying $40 a day for a rental plus gas.

Re: 07126 Special Coverage Adjustment - Loss of Power Steering Assist; Models 2005 Ch

Thanks GMC Sonoma. Just wondering when the new # of column was used in production. 06, 07 or 08? I have a "rebuilt" 05 Malibu (minor bumper and air bag damaged) that now has same problem drescibed above. GM says they won't extend the warranty for me as a recall even though it is definetly a safety issue. Very scary when the steering almost locks during a turn. Definite safety hazard.
