If you don't like people to comment on just a few pictures then don't post them until GM officially releases all the specs and pictures of the truck. Easy solution to the problem.
People's opinions are not my problem. It's the people predicting sales from one truck that bothers me. I also think a lot of opinions are misinformed, which is why I explained the interior situtation.

I am in the market for a full- sized truck, and after seeing this, I'm going to go ahead and get an '06 before they are all gone.
It's a shame you're going to base your $30K purchase off of one image. I would much rather have a different looking 2007 with more power, better fuel economy, and way better interior than an inferior 2006.

Actually, I don't like the current silverado front end..but after seeing the new one...I drove by one of the current ones and I think I am starting to like the current one better.

I just don't like the design of this. If I try really hard I might be able to convince myself it's OK....but it in no way has a design that makes me want to buy one.

The basic details of the vehicle including the front facial and bulges in the fenders aren't going to change that much in a different trim level package. The grill is waaay out of proportion with the headlights. It is very ugly to my eyes! The current Silverado or Sierra or even the new Tahoe makes that thing look plain goofy!

Re: NSAP Rants: New Silverado Opinions

THANK YOU NSAP!!! lol, I agree with pretty much all you say. Since you seem to be tied with GMI more than me, why the hell do Ford and Toyota people come on this forum? All they do is spread negativity. Sure I would like to hear other opions about key topics. But they have there own sites!
And as far the silverado, I personally like all the GM trucks that have been coming out, I don't think this spy shot will do it justice though.

I just like the exterior of the current silverado (the latest facelift with the honeycomb and chrome surround) that almost anything would look lesser. I just wish the current body style got the new interior and powertrains.

Go look at a current Silverado/F-150/Ram with the hood open and tell me it looks proportionate. You haven't even seen a proper picture with the hood closed. You're looking at a spy photo with a goofy bed-cab configuration. All crew-cab short box trucks look un-proportionate. Just wait until GM releases thier photos.

Re: NSAP Rants: New Silverado Opinions

You know what. Your right. I hated it at first, then I started noticing the GMT-400 influences, and it really grew on me fast!

I personally think it will be an out of the park homerun.

I very well informed and am very familiar with preproduction pilots. The final production vehicle ain't gonna change a whole lot from this. That's unless GM is planning to delay the intro for some design changes. The only sale I can predict is mine and GM won't be getting an '08 Silverado sale from me. Especially if the final product looks anything like that prototype.

They'll show up on the web before Chevy releases "official" pics.

You have a point NSAP. I remember how everyone flew off the handle about the Aura teaser photo. Then we finally got see several photos of the production Aura, and the car was 90%+ accurate to the concept. I can't give an opinion of the new Silverado right now. I don't like Quad Cabs period so I'd have to see photos of regular or extended cab version before I can even begin to critique the truck.

It is not that hard to tell. I've seen this vehicle with the hood closed, and trust me, it is still ugly! My CTS with the hood open or closed still looks good to me. As many vehicles as I have bought in the past, I think I can make the distinction between the vehicles I like or don't whether the hood is open or closed.
