There is no excuse honestly there isn't. ~200 PRESS and vs. 200,000 General Public is very different. Honetly I am appalled by the lack of open vehicles, and the general lack of excitement coming from GM, a big turn from last year, big one.
I agree with you TaHoE, the cars SHOULD be open to the press, but. they aren't, and the reason is because of the preproduction interiors.

I hope it's not too preproduction, since they are coming this summer. Regardless, the styling and asthetical aspect is there. Why not have your representatives talk about the upcoming changes etc. This was available when the CTS debuted, why not keep up the hype for local agencies like those in NY? NY is one of the largest areas where luxury goods are purchased...the CTS is a popular car here. The preproduction excuse is weak, seriously week since the "preproduction" interior has been shown to press already, and Cadillac didn't have a problem then with press sitting in it.

It was worse at NAIAS, the industry days are typically the same as press days (where you can get inside cars and look around), but not this year, you couldn't get NEAR the CTS, Malibu, or even the Camaro.
