Re: GMI First Look: 2010 Camaro

I have always heard Missouri typically has the cheapest gas because of their ethanol deal and proximity to the Mississippi river. I can't imagine any gas making it's way up the river on a barge but I don't know much about what the river is used for as far a cargo.

But I remember being upset when my friends who had thier license a year before me were paying around a dollar a gallon.
Either way, 1998-2002 was cheap gas, but Camaro's sales were in the toilet.
I remember being so ticked off when gas broke $1.50 for 87 octane. I had a 2001 Sierra at the time and was worried then about filling it up. What a difference five years makes.

I want more pics of the SS, but GM is definitely doing the right thing promoting the crap out of the V-6 RS right now.

Re: GMI First Look: 2010 Camaro

Is anyone else worried/pissed/amazed at the price of this thing? In my lifetime we went from a performance bargain Z28 in the low twenties to a giant screw close to the price of a GT500? Amazing.

China, can you please ripoff this design and build some of these and send them over as geelys or whatever. I am tired of getting bent over paying 50 for a stupid pickup truck, and now 50 G's for a camaro? GM has got to figure out how to build cheap cars, if its the union thats the problem than head on down to mexico. Those jobs are going to leave eventually, at least this way I can buy a car for what its suppose to go for.

What the hell are you talking about? You do know they make more then ONE model trim?
The Z28 was not a performance bargin, it was a performacne machine.
Z28 was always rather pricy. Only this time GM makes a car to go head to head witht he GT500 as well as other mega power 2+2 V8 coupes, and this is the cost of entry.

If that doesnt sit tight with you, there is also a 24k V6 or a 30k V8 for you to buy, both offereing more power then your average Z28 ever did.

This is strike 2.

I am so glad they got rid of the big slot in the front header panel - that was the only thing I didn't like about it, but now it is perfect.

The "mail slot" will be there on SS models only.
V6 models do not get the mail slot.
