Re: GMI Concept of the Month: Holden Torana TT36

I don't know how far from production this little beauty is. Look at the way the body fits together - it's got real bumpers, all the little joint lines, etc. Look at that engine compartment - it's even got warning stickers. Look at the interior, apart from the wacky white color, it's all realistic and buildable.

This isn't a dream car. It's a concept car that's close to the market, I say. And given that it's looking like fuel efficiency is going to become the be all to end all, it's pretty much a lock that it's going to be built and sold even in the US.

A GM 3-series! Hallaluah! Can't wait for it as a Caddy!

Re: GMI Concept of the Month: Holden Torana TT36

It's a shame Holden hasn't produced this concept.

Australia is clamoring for smaller cars in response to rising fuel prices and Holden is left without a competitive entry. The Torana and Efigy are also easily two of the very best GM concepts of the last five years.

Re: GMI Concept of the Month: Holden Torana TT36

GM has stated many time recently that they want to produce a cross 3 series BWM type RWD sedan for their global market, so let's all hope it happens soon.

It migh be a go with a diesel. Gasoline? No one wants a gasoline anything.

And with CAFE driving most things, a RWD is a tough sell.
