However, I only had American vehicles on my shopping list. I didn't drive anything from Acura, Infiniti, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, or Volvo. My only "requirements" this time around was that it was an American brand built in the USA. That left me with the Aspen, Grand Cherokee, Acadia, and the SRX. Then I decided a crossover would be best, as theoretically it would return better mileage and handling. The Acadia wasn't in plentiful supply then (and it's too large), so, the SRX was the default winner. So...back to your question, I didn't have any specific "interior requirements" other than I fit behind the wheel and that there was no third row seat. It's just after living with a car that you realize all that you'd like to see improved.

Thank you. I might be looking harder at an SUV, but honestly based on my pleasure with Cadillac today, its hard for me to think I would not give them first chance, so to speak. JLM |

Re: GM Year In Review 2007
Lets just face the facts--GM has come along way in the last 5 years. Even my Uplander while supposedly not competitive lives up to my expectations and performs well for what a minivan is supposed to do----and I can find it in the parking lot!
GM (nor any other manufacturer) is going to have 100% customer satisfaction no matter how good their products are. The fact is some people will always find some kind of fault and complain to no end about it. 2007 was a good year for GM--while they didn't climb the sales charts they did show the public that they can and do build very competitive cars and that their turnaround is mounting. Their biggest challenge now is changing perceptions--they need to invest heavily here and figure out how to succeed becuase apparently product may just not be enough. |

Re: GM Year In Review 2007
I can't wait to see all the new GM products that are getting ready to rollout. The CTS, Malibu, Enclave, and etc are just the first of hopefully many new great vehicles. Hopefully GM can start dominating the market and eat their bigger piece of pie.
